By   /   Apr 4, 2013

According to a recent Major Nelson post, Microsoft has finally released a WWE app that can be run on the Xbox 360 consoles. The news comes just in time for Wrestlemania 29.

Furthermore, not only can you purchase and view WrestleMania 29, but all other future WWE Pay Per View events can be streamed/purchased via your Xbox 360 console. Unfortunately, the service is only available for residents of the USA, and even among those you need a Gold Xbox Live membership to use it.

Those of you who are eligible to use the service and purchase the PPV, you’ll be able view them in HD with 5.1 surround sound.

WrestleMania 29 happens on April 7th. The main event is The Rock defending the WWE Title against John Cena.
Are you a WWE fan? If so, this one’s for you: WWE launches today on Xbox* in the U.S., just in time for WrestleMania XXIX on April 7. See the WWE Superstars and Divas like never before, from Royal Rumble to WrestleMania. Starting today, all WWE pay-per-view events are available right from your Xbox 360.

*Xbox LIVE Gold subscription required.
