Turns out that despite the doubts that skeptics might have had, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon might in fact be the exciting and refreshing air of retro laser shooting dragons we all hope for.
The game was teased by Ubisoft on April Fools’ Day so there could still be a chance that it might turn out to something similar to the 8 bit Deus Ex: Human Defiance.
I digress, the reassurance that it will be a retro title comes from the fact that the game is now confirmed to feature a three-track 80s-esque soundtrack by, you guessed it, the Melbourne based electonica group Power Glove, known for their kickass covers of retro tracks. All three tracks are available on SoundCloud. The track titles include Power Core, Sloan’s Assault and Warzone.
The DLC was first revealed earlier this week with the art depicting the sci-fi fantasy of the retro era. The tagline of the title reads “The year is 2007. It is the future”.
The game will be released on the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Check out more details on the website, including a synopsis of the story.
