While those of you who backed the kickstarter fund that resulted in the Ouya should be getting your little box of fun sometime today. For the rest of us mortals, we’ll just have to wait until the official June 4th launch, at which time we can get it from retailers for a mere 99 dollars.
This is, of course, the cost at retailers in the US, UK and Canada. No word on how outrageously expensive it will be for the poor folks down under.
The console earned more than $8 million on Kickstarter last year, and already has a launch list of games in the hundreds. The developer of the console also intends to release a new model each year, similar to how the mobile strategy goes.
