It seems that the boss lady of Ubisoft Toronto is working on another Assassin’s Creed title, but one completely separate from the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag.
She said the studio will be attached to five projects following completion of the upcoming Splinter Cell: Blacklist:
We have two big collaborations coming that we’re not talking about, on two of the biggest franchises at Ubisoft. We also have two new IP.
She also said that the fifth project would be a splinter cell game.
While she didn’t say specifically that one of the projects was going to be an Assassin’s Creed she did say this:
The thing that’s great to me is that there is [sic] still some of my favorite people who, you know, we were in the trenches shipping that first one. We lived through all of that stuff together and some of those guys are still on the franchise and have been there. So it’s a just [sic] for me to work with some of those people again.
From this we can infer that since she was one of the people who worked on the original Assassin’s Creed (which is likely one of the two biggest franchises at Ubisoft), we’ll see another game from that franchise following Black Flag.
