Mozilla and Epic Games are working together to be able to do something that will truly change the way we play games on the web. The two companies are working on bringing the Unreal Engine 3, a commonly used engine in modern day, to the web.
With games like Quake Live and Bastion already playable directly from your browser (the latter being able to function exclusively on Google Chrome), it is only a matter of time before we see more titles enter the world of web-based gaming.
It would be interesting to see if Unreal Engine 4 follows the same course but for now, let’s rejoice over this amazing collaboration and wish both the companies all the luck in the world.
