Closed beta for the highly anticipated strategy game Company of Heroes 2 begins next week, Sega announced today.
The beta will work in two phases. The first one will begin from April 2nd and be open to pre-order customers only. The second one will grant access to a wider audience but at this point Sega has not revealed how and when.
The beta will require Steam to run and will feature six maps for multiplayer and skirmish gameplay. Players will also get access to the first 40 levels of progression, and the ability to customize their loadouts to suit their play style using the all new Army Customizer.
Greg Wilson, the producer of the game said:
“We are excited to be able to launch the closed beta for Company of Heroes 2. We invite our fans to help us test and balance the game prior to launch, as well as see the changes we’ve already made since the Alpha test in December.”
Company of Heroes 2 is looking for a release on June 25 for the PC.
