Earlier at GDC, Activision revealed what their artists hope will be possible with the graphical fidelity afforded them in the upcoming console generation.
The developer’s technical talk focused on the processes of creating realistic-looking characters without reaching the uncanny valley. Jimenez explained that the product of better visuals will be the capacity to tell stories with greater emotional impact.
Like all next gen demos at the moment the demo is running on a PC, in this case one using a GeForce GTX 680 graphics card running at 180 frames per second.
It’s important to remember that the images and video reflect research and development initiatives that Activision is exploring and do not represent actual game assets. So basically these could be in the game, or they might not. Whatever, the video is still pretty.
