Tons of Indie Games Heading to Sony Consoles

The PS3 and PS Vita are going to see a big influx of indie games in the future, as is the PS4 by the looks of things.

At the Game Developer’s Conference this year, Sony hosted a special PlayStation Indie Arcade with a ton of hands-on demos available for over 25 indie titles that would be coming to Sony consoles at some point. Not only that, but Sony also confirmed that the strong indie support would be making its way to the upcoming PlayStation 4 console as well when it releases, but they only elected to announce two indie games that would be seen on the PS4 for now. You can find a list of indie titles coming to Sony consoles below:

  PS3

  • Rain
  • Divekick
  • Spelunky
  • Sportsfriends
  • Ibb & Obb
  • Guacamelee!
  • Hotline Miami
  • Dragon Fantasy Book II
  • Thomas Was Alone
  • Luftrausers

PS4

  • Blacklight: Retribution
  • Primal Carnage: Genesis

Vita

  • Divekick
  • Spelunky
  • Velocity Ultra
  • Limbo
  • Metrico
  • Guacamelee!
  • Hotline Miami
  • Dragon Fantasy Book II
  • Tomas Was Alone
  • Luftrausers

This sudden influx of titles says a lot of good things about Sony and their plans for supporting indie developers on their current and future consoles. The company are “fostering relationships with publishers and developers” so that they can introduce more great games to as wide an audience as possible, which is great news for indie devs who are looking to develop for the console market.
