Nintendo 3DS Firmware Update Improves eShop, Stability and Usability
We all know how much Nintendo invests in its portable game console, the Nintendo 3DS, with a string of exclusive titles and frequent tools, apps and updates. The latest firmware update to the Nintendo 3DS, will improve the console’s eShop and its stability and usability.
The eShop improvements mentioned include the “Download Later” function now working when the 3DS is in sleep mode while the eShop app is open. Furthermore, added is the ability to run software updates in the background.
The new update, Version 5.0.0-11U in North America, is available for download via a wireless connection. The System menu versions 5.0.0-0U through 5.0.0-10U do not include these improvements.
New features for the Nintendo 3DS Camera, new content for StreetPass Mii Plaza and System Transfer between two Nintendo 3DS systems, which were included within previous system updates, are not included with system menu versions 5.0.0-0U through 5.0.0-4U.
Furthermore, addition of Internet Browser, addition of Nintendo eShop and System Transfer from a Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL system, which were included within previous system updates, are not included with system menu versions.
