Halo 4 Gets Free Multiplayer Map
Developers of Halo 4, 343 Industries took center stage at PAX East yesterday to announce a number of things.
A free DLC multiplayer map titled ‘Forge Island’ was announced for the sci-fi shooter and will be released on April 11th. As evident from the name, the map will utilize all features of the ‘Forge’ available already in the game.
This basically means that gamers will be able to create many maps of their own. The possibilities are endless!
So what prompted 343 Industries to reward their fans in such a glorious way?
Well, it may have to do something with the fact that Halo 4 has been logged in by more than 11 million players ever since its launch back in November. Keep in mind that I am talking about unique users here. Besides that, who knows how many more gamers have played Halo 4 without ever logging on to Xbox Live.
There were many other statistics that 343 Industries shared as well. Players have recorded 11.7 billion kills since launch and recorded 388 million headshots.
