With PAX East starting this week, Microsoft will be making its presence felt at the booth#524 on the main floor. Gamers will be able to sample brand new map packs coming to Halo 4 and Gears of War: Judgement for the very first time, as well as couple of XBLA games on the show.
PAX goers will get their very fist opportunity to play Halo 4’s upcoming Castle Map Pack. According to Major Nelson, this new add-on “allows players to extend their gameplay experience with new locations and bonus content (2 unique helmets and an emblem) at a terrific value. The Castle Map Pack is the third of the series, offering larger, more open spaces, in three very different settings and map styles. Castle map pack introduces nine new achievements, three new maps, and a new “Castle DLC” playlist.”
Furthermore, the Microsoft booth will also allow access to Gears of War: Judgement’s upcoming Maxim Map Pack which features “post-launch release of two free, MAXIM-sponsored multiplayer maps – Haven and Capitol – as well as a new mode called ‘Execution’.”
The public will also get to play, yet to be released, Age of Empires II HD and interact with game producer Ryan Chapley. The booth will also be home to unreleased XBLA titles like State of Decay and Motorcross Madness , as well as a whole slew of upcoming Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 games.
PAX East attendees can also look forward to a chance to meet and get signings from Halo 4 team on 22nd March from 3-4pm, followed by a Halo 4 panel conducted by 343 Industries staff members Frank O’Connor, Kevin Franklin, Dan Ayoub and David Ellis from 5pm to 6pm.
