Tomb Raider: Multiplayer DLC Plans Only, Expect No Single-Player Content
Upcoming DLC packs for Tomb Raider will be designed entirely for multiplayer, revealed Crystal Dynamic in a Reddit AMA.
When asked about their DLC plans, Director of the game Noah Huges said:
“Currently there are no plans regarding single-player DLC. Now that Lara is more experienced, we are excited to take her on new adventures that challenge her new strength and confidence. It is important that even as Lara grows as a character, so do the challenges she must face.”
Global brand director Karl Stewart later added the studio is not planning on releasing any new single-player content for Tomb Raider:
“There are currently no plans in place for any single-player expansions. All of our DLC is based around the multiplayer experience for now.”
Tomb Raider’s first expansion pack is called Caves and Cliffs. It’s an arena map pack and will release for the Xbox 360 this week. A release date for the PS3 and PC has not been announced.
