EA Nominated For The Worst Company in America – Might Win Again

By   /   Mar 20, 2013

It is no secret that EA has a bad reputation amongst the gamer community, having won Consumerist’s “Worst Company in America” title just last year.

It might have come as a surprise to many, considering that America has so many unpopular companies and organizations, but it seems consumers take the gaming industry very seriously. The winner was decided on the votes of the Consumerist’s readership, EA took the lead with 250,000 votes cast.

EA is up for nomination for the title this year as well. What’s more, EA might win, once again, considering the community’s outrage over the SimCity DRM and continuous server problems as well as the fact that EA CEO, John Riccitiello, gave in his resignation just this Monday.

To put things in perspective, there has never been a repeat winner for the Golden Poo award. If EA wins again, and even if it doesn’t this should definitely be taken as a warning sign that the company needs to change to keep its customers happy.
