History in the making at Wargaming, as it seems that the insanely popular MMO tank warfare game ‘World of Tanks’, has broken a Guinness World Record.
The game has made the record for ‘most players simultaneously connected to one server’. On January 21, 190,541 players logged on to a single Russian World of Tanks server. This beat World of Tanks’ previous record of 91,311 players set back in January 2011.
It’s an important and exciting milestone for the company. It inspires us to greater efforts in polishing and refining all aspects of our present and future projects. If World of Tanks keeps growing at the rate it is, the game will soon top the current total and secure another world record.
Wargaming’s World of Tanks is free-to-play. They are also working hard for the release of World of Warplanes and World of Warships, which are set to bring the massive online battles to WWII aerial and naval combat later this year.
