In an interview with Eurogamer, the managing director of CD Projekt Red, Adam Badowski had a lot of interesting things to say about what was in store for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Chief among these things, was a tidbit about how maybe, just maybe, there might, possibly be a smidgen of multiplayer.
“We’re thinking about something,” said Badowski, “but I cannot explain it now. You can expect some information later on. Sorry for that!”
When asked about whether or not this multiplayer mode would be similar to the Dark Arena in The Witcher 2, Badowski answered, “I don’t think so.”
He then went on to elaborate that “The story is not perfect for MMOs,” because it would be strange to see 50 white-haired Geralts all running around in the same quest zone
In summary, Badowski said, “There are many different types of games that can fit better to the universe or lore.”
The Witchet 3: Wild Hunt is still a long way off, but considering how much PR CD Projekt Red is getting about the game, I’m sure that we’ll hear something more about the multiplayer, eventually.
