Assassin’s Creed 4 Developer Suggests New Xbox To Release This Year

Creative director for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag has probably just confirmed that the new Xbox will indeed be available at Christmas time this year.

Intentional or not? Jean Guesdon mentioned during an interview with Outside Xbox that the new Assassin’s Creed title will ship for all platforms at the same time.

While Guesdon did not specifically mention Durango or the new Xbox, his reply followed talks where he said that Black Flag will launch on the PlayStation 4 and “presumably any other next-gen consoles that are of similar specification.”

We already know that the game is confirmed for release on October 29 for the current-gen platforms and PlayStation 4. This hints towards Microsoft releasing their new Xbox prior to that.

Sony has already confirmed their plans of launching their new console at the end of the year. We can safely say that Microsoft will also be eying the same release timeline.
