Some tricksters are lose on the web who are trying to take advantage of people dying to get their hands on Sony’s new PlayStation 4.
Sony warns everyone to stay wary of any e-mails asking for personal details, in order to complete a fraudulent beta access program. Many fake websites have been reported that are already duping people. As a result Sony has issued the following tweet:
Important: Sites or individuals offering ‘PS4 beta tests’ are frauds. Don’t be fooled!
PlayStation 4 will be released this holiday season. Sony is expected to reveal the console itself for the first time during E3 in June.
