Almost 5 million people picked up Far Cry 3 and it’s safe to say that many of them enjoyed it. So I’d say that’s more than enough reason to make the franchise one of Ubisoft’s “major pillars” and rush a follow-up to store shelves.
Enter Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, an unannounced game that has been discovered over on a Brazillian ratings site. The listing reveals that the new game is set to launch on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC as well as some new artwork. Ubisoft just can’t seem to keep a lid on their secrets lately.
With those two pieces of info, it seems Blood Dragon will be a standalone digital download kind of game. But what will it be about, you may ask?
Well, Joystiq recently chatted with Far Cry 3 lead writer Jeffrey Yohalem, who admitted that he’s working on something now that will be “surprising.” In addition, he said that it’s a “strike while the iron’s hot” sort of endeavor. At the time, these comments could have been about anything, now it seems like he was showing his hand a bit more than we thought.
