Dota 2 – The New Na’Vi, Metagame Changes and Future as an eSports Team!
There are a lot of tricks to manage and maintain your team in the top spots of any game, Natus Vincere, one of the biggest and most stable teams in Dota is no exception.
If you follow the Dota 2 competitive scene, you know that Na’Vi have been very unstable in the last months, losing games even against unknown teams such an amateur team called Power Rangers. Even if the team has won more than 2 million dollars ever since Dota 2 came, change had to come…
And the change has come, the legendary off-lane player Dimitriy ‘LighTofHeaveN’ Kupriyanov and the self-less full support player Sergey ‘Ars-Art’ Revin were removed from the team. To replace these big players, come some really well known players in the form of ex-Team Empire’s Gleb ‘Funn1k’ Lipatnikov and ex-Mousesports Kuro ‘KuroKy’ Takhasomi.
Na’Vi’s CEO Alexander ‘ZeroGravity’ Kohanovsky explains the whole situation in the video below:
In the video, he also explains his plan to move the whole team to China and compete in the Asian tournaments, thus going up against some of the best teams like the World Champions Invictus Gaming.
Another big change that will affect the whole Dota scene is the metagame changes that the CEO promised, there will be a lot new strats coming from the captain Puppey and the team’s hero pool will change even more.
Only 2 days after the change have started to come into effect, Na’Vi is looking unstoppable, stomping every enemy into the ground and even coming up with a very innovative Dagon team build against one of the top dogs Evil Geniuses. That game is really funny and exciting to watch:
Finally, the CEO promises a lot of game guides made by the players so we might see an Invoker guide coming from Dendi and Na’Vi will also release Vlogs which will cover some behind the scenes action, player’s everyday life and other random stuff!
