In the coming months, we may very well see a new exclusivity agreement between Microsoft and Electronic Arts come to light. The announcement would probably be based on Microsoft’s next-gen Xbox but for now, details are slim.
CVG reports that according to two sources, who wish to remain anonymous, Electronic Arts has secured a partnership with Microsoft. However, neither party is ready to divulge anything at the moment.
I think we can safely take out exclusive titles from the equation. EA is no more releasing a title solely for the Xbox than Activision is releasing a Call of Duty title just for the PS3. The new partnership probably has EA bringing out newer titles on the Xbox 720 first, exclusive downloadable content perhaps and the like.
Activision announced a similar partnership with Sony last week, which highlighted exclusive add-on content for the PS4 edition of Destiny.
