Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag to Feature Edward Kenway As The Lead – Rumor
More rumored information has emerged for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag following the leaked poster yesterday.
According to the Examiner, Edward Kenway is going to play the lead character in Black Flag. The father of Haytham Kenway from last year’s Assassin’s Creed III is described as an “occasional” pirate and a privateer.
If the rumors are true then the fourth installment in the series is going to be set in the Caribbean. Missions in the game are most probably going to require players to travel to multiple islands, including Jamaica, Cuba, and the Bahamas.
Darby McDevitt, whose name you’ve most probably read in a number of Assassin’s Creed titles, is said to be writing the script for Black Flag. He tweeted yesterday, “Is it that time again? [Assassin’s Creed] fans getting all apoplectic ‘n’ stuff. Squirming and squealing. Love it.”
Ubisoft confirmed development of a new Assassin’s Creed game earlier this month. According to the Examiner’s report it’s being developed presently for the current-gen platforms. However, they may release the game on next-gen later on.
