Bioshock Infinite is gold! No, that doesn’t mean it came out recently and already sold a bunch of copies under your nose, but hopefully you’re still here and didn’t run off to your local store to find it already. By Bioshock Infinite going gold means that it has been approved by Sony and Microsoft on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC for March 26th.
“Nobody has ever built a game quite like this,” said Irrational Games cofounder Ken Levine. “It’s a shooter, but a shooter that brings you to very uncomfortable and dangerous places. I can’t demand that you play the game; I can promise you, however, that once you have, it will be an experience you won’t soon forget.”
Announced way back in August of 2010, Bioshock Infinite faced multiple delays: first scheduled for a 2012 release, then given the more specific October 16, 2012, followed by February 26, 2013 and finally, March 26, 2013. Now that it’s gold, there shouldn’t be anymore surprises with Bioshock Infinite’s release date.
