It is always frustrating to see games coming late to your specific region, and that seems to be the case for Australian gamers who will get their hands on Metal Gear Rising Revengeance a few days late. The title was originally planned for a release on February 21st but has been pushed back to the 26th due to shipping delays.
The game comes out in North America today and in all other regions on the 22nd of February. Mindscape, the Australian distributor of Konami, confirmed the news:
“Unfortunately due to a last minute shipping delay, the Australian and New Zealand release of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be delayed by a few days to the 26th of February. As gamers ourselves, we’re committed to ensuring that Australian release dates align with global launch and we’re working hard to ensure that this problem doesn’t occur in the future.”
The game has received glowing pre-release reviews so it just might be worth that extra bit of delay. In the meantime, Subscribers can enjoy the downloadable demo available on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
