Gears of War: Judgment Leaked, Microsoft Promises Lifetime Bans

Gears of War: Judgment has bypassed all security measures to land on various torrent websites a month before its official release.

The game appears to be the complete and final version and is being spread around the web as we speak. Microsoft is off course not a happy camper and has issued a quick statement:

“We are aware of isolated cases in which Gears of War: Judgment content has been propped on the web and are working closely with our security teams and law enforcement to address the situation immediately.

“Consumers should be aware that piracy is illegal and we take vigorous action against illegal activity related to our products and services.”

As Microsoft points out, fans twitching to be able to play the game prior to its release are going to suffer the consequences. That said, I know many fanatics would actually consider a lifetime ban a small price to pay to be able to go through Judgment right now.

Those who don’t think so will have to wait until March 19, on which Gears of War: Judgment releases exclusively for the Xbox 360 worldwide.
