Planetside 2: Enable PhysX Now or Wait for it’s Official Release
Nvidia’s physics engine, PhysX is reported to be inbound for PlanetSide 2. The technology enables developers to create models and scenery in the game that move with the utmost realism. And we all know how PC gamers strive to experience something like that.
PlanetSide 2’s game settings already has an option for PhysX in the game settings. Though until its official release the option is grayed out. However, if you don’t want to wait it out then changing two lines of codes will have you enabling PhysX now.
Firstly you will need the latest GeForce 313.96 beta drivers. Then head into PlanetSide 2’s root folder and open the useroptions.ini file in a text editor. Inside, find the [Rendering] section, and change the following:
Save the file and you’re good to go. Note that turning the option on will drain your system dry. Unless you have a pretty hefty setup, you might face a loss in performance. If you do then simply turn the settings back to default.
