Coming as no surprise, Dead Space 3 has sky rocketed to the number-one spot in the UK Charts and is now enjoying the biggest launch of this year so far.
Even still, Chart-Track reports that the first week sales of the game were down by almost 27% compared to those of Dead Space 2. The second installment debuted atop the charts as well when it was released two years ago.
According to reports, the Xbox 360 version of the game took home the major part of the sales, a beefy 65% with the PS3 and PC following with 31 and 4% respectively.
Most reviewers noted that Dead Space 3 is an impressive title but compared to its previous releases, the new installment lacks a bit of the original scare.
FIFA 13 and Black Ops 2 are still holding on to the top three spots, followed by Far Cry 3 and Hitman HD Trilogy. Ni No Kuni is at sixth place; many JRPG lovers would argue that it deserves an even better standing.
