Obsidian To Pitch New Star Wars Game To Disney
Disney buying the Star Wars franchise was a strange news for everyone. The news also meant that new plans were being made for Star Wars such as a new movie.
In the midst of all the changes, Obsidian’s plan for a new Star Wars game was overlooked. The developers of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 brought the idea to LucasArts who were excited about the proposal but this was before Disney stepped in.
No need to worry, though, as Obsidian has now decided to pitch the idea to Disney to seek approval.
The game as pitched to LucasArts was to chronologically take place between the events of Episode 3 and Episode 4. The extermination of the Jedi after the fall of the republic plays into the recurring theme of the Knights of the Old Republic series, and that was to be the setting of the game.
Chris Avellone, known for his work on big RPG titles such as Knights of the Old Republic 2 and Neverwinter Nights 2 was the one who came up with the story of the title.
