Zombie Studios known for several games spanning every genre, most notably first-person shooters, have revealed their next release at the D.I.C.E summit.
The new game will make use of the new Unreal Engine 4 and will be titled Daylight. It will be a psychological horror title focusing on the unusual circumstances the main character finds herself in.
The female lead will be unnamed, and no back story will be provided to add to the general feel the game is going for. She wakes up in unfamiliar surroundings, and you have to explore to find a way out. The game will also feature procedurally-generated environments, which basically mean that you will get a different environment every time making each play through unique.
Your only companion is a cellphone which reacts to otherworldly presence and plays into the horror element. It will also have a torch light which is an essential part of every horror media.
Game play duration will be around an hour, and the improved lighting effects provided by the Unreal Engine 4 will bring the best horror experience possible. Daylight is expected for a release this year and will be offered on Steam for around $20. Obviously, more chapters will be added to extend the story.
