Sony San Diego is revving up its MLB series Franchise mode, releasing a new video trumpeting its changes.
Polygon spoke to Sony San Diego’s community manager, Ramone Russell, in December, to which the publication was told about 40 percent of Sony San Diego’s development resources were spent on MLB 13’s Franchise mode.
In its development, three of the last game’s main areas were totally redone, including scouting, team finances and player progression.
“Scouting has gone from being an afterthought to one of the centerpieces of Franchise mode,” said associate designer Luis Martinez. Also, players in MLB 13 will develop skills more realistically, and the aging veterans will see their skills diminish as it would in reality.
MLB 13 The Show releases on March 5, 2013 for the PS3 and PS Vita.
