We know that there’s a sequel to Beyond Good & Evil being worked on by Rayman’s creator Michel Ancel by some time now. What we don’t know is when we’ll be able to play it.
That may be now put to ease thanks to an online listing by retailer Zavvi which puts the release of the game on March 22nd, 2014.
Previously Ancel confirmed that the sequel won’t see the light of day in this generation. Considering Zavvi’s projected 2014 release date, we’re definitely talking next-gen now.
Here’s what the description of the listing reads:
Designed by Michel Ancel and his acclaimed design team at Ubisoft, this is a sequel to the beloved adventure game, Beyond Good & Evil.
The game has not yet, however, been officially announced under the title “Beyond Good & Evil 2″ it is instead referred to simply as “Next Michel Ancel Project” after its creator, it it might possibly have a unique title to reboot the franchise.
Ubisoft did say that success of projects like Rayman Origins will determine the fate of Beyond Good & Evil 2.[via OXM]
