Integration of TiVo with Wii U Delayed Beyond January

It has come to our attention that the integration of TiVo with Nintendo’s new Wii U console has been delayed beyond January.

Previously the service was said to be integrated with the Wii U in January of 2013. This was foretold by Zach Fountain, Nintendo America’s director of network business, in a “Reggie Asks” interview where he said that “TiVo will be coming on board in January.”

Polygon now reports that after contacting Nintendo to confirm the availability of the service, they were told by a Nintendo spokesperson: “Further integration with Netflix subscriptions and TiVo are expected in early 2013 in the United States.” So a release this month is crossed out.

TiVo allows users to record TV shows and their favorite programs on a box, which they can then watch later at their own leisure.
