Disney CEO Bob Iger Talks About Violence In Video Games

By   /   Jan 28, 2013

Disney CEO and Chairman, Bob Iger, addressed the issue of violence in video games in talks held at a Hollywood Radio & Television Society luncheon on the 23rd.

Considering the events of the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting, Iger wanted to “to take stock in everything we’ve got that can be considered near the line or over the line.”

Addressing the issue itself he said:

Fortunately at Disney there’s very little [violence], but I still want to make sure we’re asking ourselves the right questions in terms of that standard, and also we’re willing to be a part of a dialogue in today’s world that I think is pretty necessary in terms of what our role is and what our role should be.

Disney’s latest release on the horizon will be Disney Infinity coming out this summer. Iger also took the oppurtunity to promote some new technology for the Disney World theme park.
