According to Visceral Games, Dead Space 3 will be a straight port to the PC. While it will have some graphical options, it will still be the exact same thing that you would get on the Xbox 360 or PS3. Which means that, unfortunately, there will be no DirectX 11 support, or additional high-resolution textures added to the game beyond what you’ll be getting with the console versions.
If that news wasn’t disappointing enough, then you’ll be just oh-so-delighted to hear that Dead Space 3 will also be joining the legion of games that use micro-transactions. In exchange for real money, you’ll be able to buy extra crafting resources. Thankfully anything you can get through micro-transactions, can also be obtained by simply playing the game.
