THQ is all set to cease its activities on the 22nd of January. On that day, the company will be auctioned off title by title to potential buyers like EA and Microsoft. This was reported by the Distressed Debt Investing who was inside the courtroom tweeting, when the judge ordered that the assets of THQ would be sold separately.
This means that all titles of the soon to be defunct publisher THQ will be up for grabs to the highest bidder.
Furthermore, the games in the arsenal of THQ are not shabby at all with names like Company Of Heroes and Saints Row; I suspect there will be more than just a couple of interested parties involved.
Electronic Arts and Warner Bros have already expressed their interest. Other games that are up for grabs are:
South Park: The Stick of Truth, Homefront, as well as several WWE and Warhammer 40,000 licences.
