The Tegra 4 features ARM’s quad-core Cortex-A15 processor and 72 GPUs, 6 times the power of the Tegra 3. The processor will provide faster speeds which will, among other things, increase browsing speeds by 2.6 times. The camera will be able to take HDR pictures with ease, taking the same time it would require to take a simple photo.
In a press conference Nvidia CEO, Jen-Hsun Huang showed off the processor by running Dead Trigger 2 and Unreal Engine 4. The chip has also inspired competition with rival Qualcomm revealing a 28nm processor for its Snapdragon S4. It will also be used in their new android powered console currently known as “Shield Project”, read more about that here.
