Guillermo del Toro Sells Rights to Insane, Development Continues

Insane
Remember that game Guillermo del Toro of Pans Labyrinth and Hellboy fame was working on? The project, named Insane, was cancelled in August by THQ.

“The game was cut months ago, and now we are talking to developers,” del Toro said earlier at NYCC. “When some thing doesn’t happen in one way, I just continue to pursue it in another way. I’m not giving up on Insane, it’s truly beautiful.”

Now it seems development on Insane will recommence, as the famed director has signed the trilogy of Insane over to a “mystery” development studio. The cancellation hasn’t been without its downsides though, as it’s now labeled with a 2015 release date.

Del Toro also expressed interest in working with Valve, which he admits he is a huge fan of. The voice of GLaDOS from Portal will even appear as an AI in his next film.
