“Scope of the DAIII has been changed [sic], which will target next gen platform and will be postponed to 2014,” reads the post on his CV, which is visible only to LinkedIn premium account holders.
This isn’t all that surprising, given that in a earnings report call in May, Electronic Arts executives announced that the company had delayed a “key game” to fiscal year 2014. Many had speculated that said game was Dragon Age 3, which now seems to have been an accurate assessment.
It’s also easy to see Dragon Age 3 being a next-gen title, given that it’s built on the Frosbite 2 engine, which “was built for the next generation” according to EA Games vice president Patrick Soderlund.
Keep in mind that EA has yet to release an official statement confirming Tao Gu’s claims.
