Just a couple of hours we reported about see an advert for the Wii Mini run on the Canadian website of Best Buy. Seeing that the cat was out of the bag, Nintendo has officially announced the miniature version of the Wii console, the Wii Mini.
Wii Mini will launch on December 7 for a price of $100. The console will be available in a red and black model and will come complete with a top-loading disc drive.
The package will include a sensor bar, a Wii MotionPlus controller and nunchuk. Unlike the Wii, you cannot place the Mini on its side.
Back in September Sony launched a cheaper version of their console. The Wii Mini may as well be a reply to them by Nintendo. However, one has to give credit to Nintendo, the Wii Mini looks far more dashing that the re-designed PS3.
The Wii U will be launching in Europe this weekend.
