How To Transfer Your Mii To Wii U

Almost every Wii user would be attached with his/her Miis. The thought of shifting to Nintendo’s new console and abandoning your digital self in the process would obviously be heart-wrenching.

However, don’t fret since there is a simply way to copy your Mii from the 3DS/Wii to the Wii U.

Copying Mii From 3DS To Wii U
Step 1: Open Mii Maker in your 3DS.

Step 2: Head on over to “View Mii Characters” and ensure that copying is allowed for Miis that you want to transfer over.
To do this simply tap any Mii on the touch screen. If you see two blue smiley faces to the right of a Mii’s name then copying is allowed. If you don’t see this icon then tap the Mii, then ‘Edit’, ‘Next’ and finally allow ‘Copying’.

Step 3: Once this is done, head on over to the main Mii Maker menu.

Step 4: Now is the time to open Mii Maker on your Wii U as well.

Step 5: In the Wii U Mii Maker tap ‘Send/Receive Mii’ and then initiate “Connect to Nintendo 3DS”.

Step 6: Now on the 3DS head into ‘Send/Receive and then ‘Mii Maker’, followed by ‘Search for Players’ and finally ‘Wii U’.

Step 7: Simply select the Mii or Miis and copy them to your new console.

Copying Mii From Wii To Wii U
Step 1: Open up Mii Maker in the Wii U, tap ‘Send/Receive Mii’ and then choose ‘Copy from Wii Menu’.

That’s basically it. Your Wii U will search for the Wii and then copy over all Miis in the Mii Channel.

Copying Mii From Wii To 3DS and Then To Wii U
Step 1: Launch the Mii Channel on your Wii.

Step 2: Press the A, B, and 1 buttons on your Wii remote separately and in that order, then press and hold the 2 button.

Step 3: Select ‘Yes’ when prompted with ‘Begin DS Wireless Communication?’.

Step 4: Alongside launch Mii Maker on your 3DS.

Step 5: Tap ‘Send/Receive’ and then ‘Mii Channel (Wii)’.

Step 6: Tap your Wii console here (which should be at the top) and then select ‘OK’.

Step 7: You can now copy your Miis to the 3DS using the A and B buttons.

Step 8: Once done, tap ‘Cancel’ to disconnect your 3DS from the Wii.

Step 9: All your Miis are now on the 3DS. Simply follow the above mentioned steps of copying miis from the 3DS to the Wii U.
