Black Ops 2 Wii U: Horrible Frame Rates Ruin Experience

Black Ops 2
Reports are strolling in that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is suffering from reduced frame-rate on the Wii U.

Activision’s latest shooter seems to be performing the worst on Nintendo’s new console, while it plays relatively better on the Xbox 360 and PS3. I don’t think I have any need to inform you of how good the game runs on the PC, provided you have the recommended specifications.

It should be noted that the PS3 and Xbox 360 sometimes also show reduced frame-rates; but they are more consistent over all in decent frame-rates. The Wii U on the other hand is finding it hard to reach good FPS numbers.

The Wii U so far has been received with mixed emotions. Most are calling it underpowered and maybe not even near the capabilities of the current generation. Oles Shishkovtsov of 4A, the developer behind Metro: Last Light, called the Wii U’s CPU “horrible”.

One theory is that the developers have yet to understand Wii U’s technology and currently are unable to port over a title and release its full potential.
