Gamers around the world were all “ooh” and “aah” last week as tantalizing reveals of Grand Theft Auto V poured into the public world, including a shiny new trailer, screenshots, and a generous bit of details.
Sadly enough, the PC and Wii U owners feel a bit left-out in the matter, as GTA V is focusing on only the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms…for now.
When the matter was brought up to Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser by IGN, he stated:
Everything else is up for consideration. That’s all I can give you. The main thing is we are not… we are a third-party publisher.
We’re not Nintendo, we’re not Sony, we’re not Microsoft. We love all of them in different ways. But we can do what we want wherever there’s the appropriate business opportunity and chance to find a market.
It’s difficult to extract confirmed positivity from that statement, but it does give us humble PC and Wii U platformers a small bit of hope.
Prior to GTA V, all the previous core games of the series have always managed to hit the PC.
You can expect to hear and see more of GTA V till its arrival next year in spring.
