Assassin’s Creed 3 PC Will Have Greater Texture Polish & DX11 Features


The PC version of Assassin’s Creed 3 may be arriving late but Ubisoft has revealed plans that will make up for the time lost.

In a recent AMA on Reddit, Ubisoft revealed that the PC version will be packed with greater texture polish than that of the console versions. A number of DirectX 11 features will be there such as Tessellation, which will all work their way to further sharpen the visuals and give an immensely beautiful visual experience on the PC.

UbiGabe, community developer also mentioned that the PC version would include all the console patches that have been released so far. This will ensure a smoother gameplay experience right out of the box.

Regarding the textures, he said that they would be “double-res in most cases, but quadruple in some.” He also mentioned, “some other shader improvements that will have an impact, but aren’t all that sexy to enumerate in a reddit post.

Assassin’s Creed 3 on the PC for now seems to be looking like a very good addition to any gamer’s library of games. The console patches will fix up any game bugs and issues and off course, the massive texture updates will shower the game with the PCs might.
