Call of Duty 2013 Will Continue Modern Warfare Arc

Is this news really that surprising? Various sources have almost confirmed the existence of another Call of Duty game, which is currently in the works.

Siliconera reports that Activision is in the process of recording voiceovers for the next Call of Duty game, currently tagged as Call of Duty 2013.

According to the report, the next title in the series is going to continue the settings of Modern Warfare with a protagonist that is “a battle-hardened veteran in his mid-thirties with a nihilistic point of view.”

Some of the extracts posted by Siliconera mention a mission in Somalia with John ‘Soap’ MacTavish. This, however, is a flashback.

Last month, a similar news popped up when Billy Murray, the voice of Captain Price, leaked news about the new title to an editor of ThisisXbox, who was sitting beside him on the plane.

Infinity Ward were quick to deny any such claims.
