Treyarch Caps FOV for Black Ops 2 at 80

By   /   Nov 8, 2012

Black Ops 2 will have a field of vision set at 80, just like the original Black Ops, and it’s not something Treyarch is budging on.

“And don’t ask me to raise the FOV cap. Max is 80. Thank you very much,” tweeted a community manager from Santa Monica studio. He also stated the reason for the cap being some technical constraints. Otherwise, it would be raised to stop all the QQing.

The field of view is the amount of vertical and horizontal game space that can be seen. PC gamers manipulate their FOV settings in order to find the best fit for their screens and style of play, so the cap doesn’t exactly sit right with fans.

Black Ops 2 comes out on November 13th.
