Assassin’s Creed 3 has exploded onto the UK’s sales charts, immediately taking the second spot just below FIFA 13 as second highest selling title at launch this year. Developer Ubisoft reports that AC3 has been the biggest launch in the history of the company.
Apparently, it’s got twice the launch week sales of Assassin’s Creed 2, and beat last year’s Revelations by over a staggering 117,000 copies.
It was at the top of this week’s sales, edging out FIFA 13 at number 2, and WWE 13 at number 3. PlayStation Vita spin-off Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation arrived in 14th place – the third biggest release for the system behind launch titles Uncharted: Golden Abyss and FIFA.
