And to start things off they’re putting the end of the series on the Wii U, so what to do about hardcore Nintendo fans who’ve not played the previous titles? Well, BioWare have their plans for Mass Effect 3 on Wii U.
To start things off, there’s an interactive comic called Mass Effect Genesis that will explain the details of Mass Effect and the sequel that precede Mass Effect 3. At least people will be caught up on the story that lead to ME3.
Beyond that, the DLC already released (From Ashes, Extended Cut, Rebellion, Resurgence, Earth multiplayer packs) will be included on disc. On top of that, there’s also a bonus heavy weapon for the Wii U version.
The updated version will allow Wii U players to get the back story of Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 and will allow them to make decisions at key story points. These choices will then create a save game for you that can be imported into the game, opening up more storylines for each player.
