Electronic Arts just announced Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel will ship on March 26, 2013 and March 30 in Europe for the PS3 and Xbox 360, with a special edition available to those who pre-order. The special one is called Overkill Edition, and it gives players new contract missions and new tactical and Day of the Dead gear.
Developed by the same team behind Dead Space, Visceral Games, The Devil’s Cartel will be a reboot featuring two new characters, Alpha and Bravo, going to war with a violent Mexican cartel. Just like every new EA published game lately, The Devil’s Cartel will run on the Frostbite 2 engine.
Though it is a reboot, Devil’s Cartel will make its focus on the co-op gameplay that made Army of Two, but the setting will be “more serious in order to dial up the intensity,” according to Visceral Games executive producer, Julian Beak.
