StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm Clans Support Detailed

We already knew that StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm would have clan support on launch, but any sort of details were kept secret by Blizzard.

With the new patch 2.0.1 in closed beta finally getting some love for clans, Blizzard has come out to detail what they plan to bring with their clan support for Heart of the Swarm.

Where other games feature conventional ideas like simply creating a team/clan with a short profile, Blizzard has decided to give StarCraft 2 players more.

Creating your very own clan in the second installment of the Starcraft 2 trilogy will get you your own private chat channel, news updates, a roster and an info section to share your rants.

Every clan is limited to fifty members, which is a lot. I doubt there will be a clan with that many members. Perhaps Blizzard is hoping for people to start short communities and groups in this manner.

All members will automatically be given the clan tag in-game, and the creator has the power to give ranks to his clan members.

Seems like Blizzard took the format right out of their World of Warcraft title.
