GameStop Advertises Wii U Version Of Splinter Cell: Blacklist
A user on NeoGAF is reporting seeing advertisements for a Wii U version of Splinter Cell: Blacklist.
While visiting GameStop in Ireland, the user came across an advertisement poster which included the said game. Publisher Ubisoft has so far announced Blacklist for a release on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC only next year in Spring. There had been no word on a Wii U release.
A snapshot of the shelves show Wii U box art already in place alongside copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, ZombiU and Assassin’s Creed 3.
This just might be a mistake on Ubisoft’s part but knowing the support they have for Nintendo’s new console, it wouldn’t surprise anyone if there indeed is a Wii U version of Blacklist.
The publisher has declined to comment on the matter.
