Controversial Islamic Content To Be Removed In Tekken Tag Tournament 2

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 has landed itself in a bit of a pickle. Controversy has arisen in the “Saudi Arabia” stage of the game. There is text on the floor of the level that Muslims find offensive. Specifically, the text contains imagery of the Arabic script for Allah.

This design on the level’s floor has been deemed completely accidental by the game’s developers. They are working to change it as soon as possible. Katsuhiro Harada of Tekken Tag Tournaments 2 has tweeted the following:

We didn’t know that. We will change stage design data as soon as possible. We couldn’t read that.

No word has given out yet on how long it would take to make the changes in the game.
